It is almost the end of the 15th century. The Toyotomi Hideyoshi has lead Japan against Korea in a brutal war for many years. In the midst of all this chaos, Toyotomi becomes weary of the propagation of foreign religion in Japan. He has anyone who follows a non-Japanese religion persecuted. Tadashima Akiyama was one of the most powerful samurai at Hideyoshi’s disposal. He used to follow in Hideyoshi’s dream of conquering all of Japan, but after witnessing the deaths of thousands of innocent people, he became disillusioned. He abandoned his post and began wondering around Japan, searching for a better way. One day he learns of a new religion that can bring peace to Japan and to people’s hearts, Islam. But his involvement with this new religion might bring him face-to-face with Hideyoshi once again. Will he choose the path of light or will he continue to stay in the shadows, merely watching the light shine?
